About Us
BroadStreet Theatre Company is a performing arts organization located in Omaha, NE.
Our Mission: To celebrate the power of the female voice by focusing on theatrical work that features prominent roles for women, is written/conceived by women, and/or addresses women's issues; to create art in a positive and collaborative theatrical environment; and to provide audiences with experiences that evoke emotion, touch the spirit, and enliven the imagination.
BroadStreet performs in various venues located in the Omaha metropolitan area.
Our History
Did you know that roughly 20 percent of the roles in theatre - on stage and behind the scenes - are performed by women? BroadStreet was formed in 2006 because we wanted to do our part to increase this percentage. We're not male-bashing feminists. Nor are we a theatre company that's female-exclusive. We simply believe there is great power in what women have to say and a resonance to our point of view. That's our focus and why BroadStreet was born. We've enjoyed great success so far and hope you will join us as we turn the tables in theatre.
